KCA UK Summer Picnic

Manchester: KCAUK organized its annual summer picnic to Roundhay Park Leeds on August 09, 2014. Roundhay Park now covers over 700 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland and is one of the largest urban parks in the Europe.
14 Families of KCA UK living in and around of Manchester Warrington and Birmingham gathered together at Fallowfield Manchester on the day of picnic. The picnic began with the journey starting at 08.45 AM with the prayer.
KCA UK had this picnic well planned; a visit was made by KCA UK Members prior to the schedule picnic, to help the arrangements of the picnic. This proposed study and planning done has created a lot of interest for the group to visit this place. Sincere thanks goes to Benson Mores Leeds for all the cooperation.
The families reached the picnic spot area at around 10.00 AM a second group consisting 6 more families from Nottingham and Sunderland joined the group at the picnic spot. In the morning the favouring weather boosted the picnic moods of the families. Breakfast was served, which kept the spirit and the enthusiasm of the picnic ongoing. At this place whole of KCA UK had a happy family gathering and placed the marquee in the camping area. This gave a common point to meet.
The Picnic activities started with Kids games, games for the adults, Santhosh Pinto from Manchester brilliantly conducted these games, and the winners of the games were rewarded. A delicious lunch was served at around 1.30 P.M. Thanks to Martin Saldanha for effectively organising the Food.
The afternoon session was dominated by well known Mangalorean rural games Dog and the Bone and Lagori managed by KCA UK President Ronald Lobo Manchester. Kids enjoyed Cricket and Football, where as ladies enjoyed the Through Ball.
The charming day further continued with the return journey at 6.00pm where everyone continued their singing in the bus, later cracking jokes and conversations.
KCA UK sincerely thanks and remains grateful for everyone who worked hard on the picnic day and all who dedicated themselves behind the scene to make the event a successful. It was just another fantastic day ‘Family Day’ for everyone at KCA UK.

Manchester UK: KCAUK celebrated “Christmas Boom 2013” with its members, their families and guests on Saturday 21st December 2013, for the seventh consecutive year in Hotel Nawaab at Manchester UK.
The twilight celebration was initiated by Mr. James of Trickys Company. He led the role of blazing the spirit of Christmas, in the hearts of the guest and their children with his amazing magic show talents, dance, and other fun filled activities. As the enthusiasm of the guests eventually began to boost, Santa came in with his bag of gifts to dispense them amongst the Children and also to maintain the constant spirit of Christmas amongst the adults.
Mrs. Lainet Pinto, vice president of KCAUK, welcomed the guests on behalf of KCAUK. She conveyed the festive wishes to all those who were present on this occasion and also insisted the guests to enjoy family party that was planned for the evening.
Soon after the welcome speech by Mrs. Lainet Pinto, the little Children Cliona, Samuel, Joel, Riana, Steffi, Princy, Errol, Rodney & Solomon performed the role play of Christmas; which was narrated by Masters’ Raul Pereira and Shaun Pinto. Ladies and Children took part in the Carol singing.
Mr. Santhosh Pinto planned some exciting games for kids as well as the adults. Prizes were distributed for winners. Mrs. Ancita Rodrigues entertained the guest by singing a beautiful Konkani song followed by a dance Master Errol Sequeira and Miss. Cliona Pinto.
A delicious dinner was served to the guests along with the open bar which was maintained by Mr. Martin Saldanha and Mr. Stany Rodrigues.
The delightful evening continued with the draw for picking the’ family of the day’ and Gift Hamper. Prizes which were won by Francis Corda & Family, Redditch Birmingham. Huge Christmas hamper was shared by 11 lucky winners.
Finally, the President of KCAUK gave his vote of thanks to everyone who were gathered here on this occasion. He thanked all the kids and their parents for their efforts in practicing their kids to perform the nativity play on this occasion. He also thanked Mrs. Cecilia Andrade and Mrs. Lainet Pinto for co-ordinating this play too. Finally he also thanked the organizing committee members and all the guests, appreciating their Christmas spirit and their active participation in the event.
Mr. Joseph Sequeira was the MC on this occasion. The party concluded with a dance till late night, supported by DJ Mr. Ronald & Mr.Benson.
